Federal Grants

Federal Pell Grant

The Federal Pell Grant is a federally funded, need-based grant that does not have to be repaid. Federal Pell Grants are generally awarded only to undergraduate students who have not earned a bachelor’s degree. The amount of your Pell Grant award is based on your Expected Family Contribution (EFC), whether you are full-time or part-time and whether you attend school for the full academic year. Students apply annually by completing the FAFSA. The Federal Pell Grant award amount listed on your award letter is the amount for full-time enrollment. If your enrollment status is less than full-time, the amount of your Federal Pell Grant will be adjusted for your three-quarter time, half-time, or less-than-half-time enrollment status.
