SUMMARY:  Responsible for ensuring all production deliverables are of high quality meeting business and technical requirements.  Performs application software testing for new enhancements, bug fixes and application projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Defines, develops and implements quality control/assurance practices and procedures, test plans and automated test tools for On Assignment, Inc.’s front office Cold Fusion application. 
• Works with the development team in all project phases to ensure deliverables satisfy requirements and achieve desired level of quality. Interacts with developers and business analysts to resolve issues discovered during testing.
• Evaluate and/or recommend and implement software QA tools and automated testing tools/platforms.
• Design and develop test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures based on project requirements.
• Execute test plans, logging and describing issues discovered during testing and publishes test results.
• Maintain databases/logs of known test defects.
• Develop database of regression test scenarios.  
• Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts.
• Establishes standards and best practices for testing in an Agile environment.
• Influence inclusion of testability requirements during design and development phases and work with business and technical teams to define testing requirements.
• Contribute to continuous process improvements to increase efficiencies around the testing process. 

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s degree required

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum three years’ experience testing web-based applications in a Windows server-based environment for both functional and regression testing.
• Demonstrated experience with the following is required:
• Software QA tools, bug tracking, and test management systems.
• Creating effective manual and automated test plans using a variety of toolsets.
• Automated web testing tools, e.g. HP Quality Center, etc…
• Utilizing various development methodologies, e.g. Agile, waterfall, iterative.
• Cold Fusion development or other object-oriented framework like Ruby, SQL, Oracle, Java, Javascript
• Demonstrated experience with the following is preferred:
• Applicant tracking and document management systems.
• State-of-the-art QA tools.
