THE RESIDENCIES:
All Department of Graduate Psychology & Counseling concentrations are available in two options:

National Option : learners attend two five day residencies per year, usually in February and July

Weekend Option : learners attend five weekend residencies per year
The Department offers two options so that you can choose which is more convenient for you; the academic content of the options is the same.

All residencies take place at Union Institute & University’s Brattleboro center, in Brattleboro, Southern Vermont. The UI&U Brattleboro Academic Center is housed in restored farm buildings with residency activities taking place in “The Farmhouse,” “The Creamery,” and “The Pole Barn.” The red farm buildings are nestled in open hay fields with views of the surrounding mountains. Just a short walk from the center, Fort Dummer State Park offers 217 acres on which to stretch your legs between activities.
Brattleboro , Vermont is a quaint, culturally vibrant town located just two hours from Boston, two hours from Connecticut, and an hour from central New Hampshire. The downtown area offers coffee shops, a variety of restaurants, shopping, antique stores and a restored art deco hotel and movie theatre built in the early 1900s. Not far from Brattleboro, outdoor lovers will find access to great skiing, hiking, mountain biking and fishing.
