Research Services and Electronic Resources Librarian
Union Institute & University, a national university for adult learners offering programs of study leading to bachelor’s, master's, and doctoral degrees is seeking a Research Services and Electronic Resources Librarian at our Montpelier, Vermont, academic center. This librarian has primary responsibility for the management of the library’s electronic resources and Web pages, and shares in the provision of reference/research support services to our academic community.
Required qualifications include a master’s degree from an ALA accredited library school as well as excellent research, technology, teaching, presentation, Web design, and communication skills. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated experience in managing technology applications/software such as integrated library systems, desktop conferencing, link resolvers, ezproxy, Serials Solutions, and ILLiad. Other preferred qualifications include experience with online course management systems and knowledge of database design and reporting software. Also desired are several years of work experience in a college or university library. Applications received by May 23, 2008, will receive primary consideration.

Faculty for Interdisciplinary Doctoral Program: Humanities and Society
Union Institute & University, a national university for adult learners offering programs of study leading to bachelor’s, master's, and doctoral degrees is seeking a full-time faculty position in the area of the Humanities and Society in its interdisciplinary doctoral program at its home office in Cincinnati. This position requires a Ph.D. in a related discipline, scholarly publications, and demonstrated college teaching experience.
Union Institute & University’s doctoral program in interdisciplinary studies is designed for adult learners and is offered in a low-residency format that combines face-to-face residencies with off-site and online instruction. The program emphasizes interdisciplinary study, with a strong attentiveness to ethics and social justice, creativity, and engaging differences. The low-residency format of the program does not require Cincinnati residence.
Qualifications: The candidate will have a PhD in an area of the Humanities or equivalent experience with demonstrated commitment to interdisciplinary scholarship, research and teaching. Preference will be given to candidates whose research and teaching interests include one or more of the following: Gender Studies, Race and Ethnicity Studies, Transnational and Border Studies, Critical Race Theory, Postcolonial Theory, Feminist Theory. Vice President for Enrollment Management

This position reports to the President and is responsible for providing leadership, expertise, and supervision to admission staff at multiple centers; using predictive modeling to shape the university’s strategic enrollment goals; offering creative approaches to increase enrollment; contributing to the development of the university’s integrated marketing program; and working with the President and senior staff to advance the mission and vision of Union Institute & University. The anticipated start date is February 2008.
The successful candidate will posses a master's degree, doctoral preferred, with five years of successful experience in higher education enrollment management. The successful candidate should employ strong analytical skills to evaluate and use data in planning and allocating resources. The ability to motivate and lead staff in multiple programs and sites is required. The candidate should be familiar with target marketing strategies and be able to propose creative ways to use technology to recruit, admit, and retain learners. Must have excellent communication and leadership skills and be able to interact effectively with campus administration and community.

Core Faculty, Psy.D.
Union Institute & University, a national university for adult learners offering programs of study leading to bachelor’s, master's, and doctoral degrees is seeking a core faculty member for its Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) program with a concentration in clinical psychology. The program offers a distributed learning model with strong commitment to diversity and social justice with small cohorts of learners in Cincinnati, OH, and Brattleboro, VT. We are seeking a full-time faculty member to develop and teach courses in at least three of the following areas: assessment, cognitive behavioral therapy, adult psychopathology, professional development seminar and dissertation research.
The successful candidate will have a Psy.D./Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited program and APA internship, licensed or license-eligible in VT and/or OH; strong commitment to a practitioner-scholar training model, evidence of productive scholarship, teaching experience at the graduate level, and demonstrated commitment to social justice. Director of Development

The Director of Development is responsible for the management of the national Office of Development and is responsible for the planning, implementation, and coordination of all university activities relating to the prospect research, maintaining all records, processing gifts, managing the annual fund campaign, coordinating mailing and electronic solicitations and assisting the Office of the President with all advancement-related activities including strategic planning for the Development Office.
The successful candidate will have a master's degree, doctorate preferred, with a successful track record in fundraising.
